Establishing a clear vision for housing association

Overview
Habinteg is an inclusive housing association that focuses on people. In collaboration with Archio, I was tasked with developing layouts and illustrations for their internal vision document.
Opportunity
Having a vision—an overarching goal that guides decision-making—is crucial, especially in institutions like housing associations. These organisations help people from various walks of life secure one of the most essential human rights: housing. Habinteg wanted the document to reflect their values, with inclusivity as the main focus, while also serving as an active guide. A set of compelling architectural illustrations was designed to align with each chapter, enhancing the storytelling within the document.
Outcome
Throughout the layout, a simple grid was introduced to provide a strong visual framework. Along with selecting a leading colour for each theme, this allowed readers to easily identify which chapter they were currently reading. Each chapter includes a carefully chosen photo related to the current theme, illustrating the theme in action. Geometric, architectural illustrations depict thematic scenes across various scales and levels of abstraction, capturing the viewer’s attention and engaging holistically with aspects of inclusivity. The document has been used internally since 2022.
