Narrative Practice + Adam Tarasewicz

Overview

Narrative Practice is a mentoring and research platform with the primary objective of improving diversity and representation within the profession. It is led by a group of volunteers who organise monthly Sessions - a mentoring event that helps people at various stages of their career connect with peers and prospective employers. They collaborate with various institutions, organisations and architectural practices.

Opportunity

Sessions by Narrative Practice has already gained an industry-wide recognition by putting diversity in action. To ensure further development of the platform, it was vital to communicate its mission, goals and undertakings to the wider audience. Through mapping the journeys and in-depth briefing sessions, we established a solid foundation for the website. Its primary goal is to promote and record the undertakings of the platform, helping them attract like-minded collaborators.

Outcome

Through careful consideration of the journeys, I developed an accessible, playful digital platform that builds on the existing visual identity of Narrative Practice. With a gently animated gradient, bouncy 'Sessions' button and bright colours, I created a welcoming portal that allows students, institutions and collaborators explore the site and engage with the mission. Clearly organised sections help not only the audience to see the past events - the same rigour is present in the backend design, allowing the client's team to easily update the website with the latest news.
